Hi, I’m Laura (she/they), a neurodivergent therapist serving the greater South Bay Area. I work with Connections Counseling Associates in San Jose and am supervised by Mary Crocker Cook, LMFT #24835.

Approach
Therapy works best when you feel comfortable. As a therapist, I bring a mix of warmth, knowledge, humor, and intuition. I’m super present with my clients and place value on being authentic and building trust. Both art and therapy have played a major role in my own journey, and I appreciate the opportunity to be a part of yours.

I view mental health holistically. We work with your system rather than trying to force it to be different. We are all complex beings in complex systems, and I believe a dynamic approach is needed to honor that.

My approach is grounded in an understanding of the nervous system and includes experiential modalities like IFS and somatic work, as well as aspects of approaches like acceptance and mindfulness and expressive arts. These skills are adaptable to different concerns but are especially well-suited for gently addressing deeper layers and roots.

Education
• M.A. in Counseling, Palo Alto University
